Ben meant so much to my family. He was such a reminder of how much joy a person can and should have in their day despite their circumstances. He will be missed so much. We are praying for you Nasser family. All our love.

Ben’s faith was so impactful and his joy was contagious. So thankful to be led in worship during Campus Community through his worship. He will be forever missed. My family is lifting up your family in prayer- your Christ fueled love for Ben did not go unnoticed.

Watching Ben pray changed how I view God and how my relationship with Him can and should be. He was such a blessing to everyone who watched him. Watching Pastor David love him and vice versa shaped how I want to interact with those around me. Praying for your family.

He would often be at the old Starbucks on Timberlake jamming to George Straight while sporting his Cowboy hat. He would sometimes tell me stories about his belt buckle and hat. But my favorites times were when he would be at Starbucks on the same night I’d meet my special education student teachers. He’d ask if he could pray over us and so he did…never knowing our field, our humility to his/His glory.????????. He was and is a perfect picture of Joy and Happiness. Prayers to his family, friends, our community who will be missing one of a kind. ????

Dear Nasser/Morgan Families. Rachel and I were so blessed to interact with Benji on numerous occasions and he made huge impression on our hearts. We are saddened by his passing, but are also rejoicing that he is with the Lord and his Mom! May his memory be a blessing to all those who knew him. We are praying for your family during this difficult time.

Every time I saw Ben, he would hug me and say “love you Mr. Bob”. I will always cherish these moments. Ben is now with our Father God and we will all see him again. The Nasser family is in our prayers. Love ya Mr. Ben.

Although I never met Benji, I was still deeply impacted by him. The way he worshipped and loves Jesus inspired me to tears! I’m so thankful I am a student at LU and can say that I was blessed to be around Benji…his memory will forever live on in my heart, and I cant wait to meet him one day. My condolences for your whole family, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. You guys loved him in such an incredible and inspiring way, and anyone could see his adoration for you when he looked at you! I’m praying for healing in this time for you all.

To the Nasser family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I just wanted to share that my special needs brother passed away two weeks ago as well. That was right when Ben started to get better from one of his hospital trips. The joy they bring to this world is something I can’t even wrap my head around. What surprised me the most these past weeks is seeing all the people my brother impacted with just his heart and joy because he was non-verbal. These next few weeks are going to be hard, but also encouraging to relive the life that Ben had, and the people he impacted from beginning to end. As my brother passed, I began to think about Benji and the same amount of impact that he had on the world just as my brother did. The way they lived and the joy they had for just about anything that went on around them should encourage us to refocus on the joy we bring to others. I never got to meet Ben, personally, but I saw things in him that I saw in my brother. You guys are so strong, and you have so much prayer pouring out to you.

Benji
I would love to thank the Nasser family for the opportunity to have met Benji , he is a shining star and a great role model . My son is a freshman there at Liberty and we had the pleasure of meeting Benji at the liberty Flames games and my son would see him all over campus ,
Benji has taught lots of us how precious life is and to appreciate what you have and live in the moment not worry about what we don’t have . Benji has inspired all of us to be better people and to keep Christ in our hearts . Benji you will be missed but NEVER forgotten

David, Jennifer, and family…
I can barely start writing. Every time I try writing about Ben I break down. For having what the world calls disabilities, Ben had the ability to love unconditionally. Love, for Ben was just the normal reaction to every other person he met. He lived as if “Oh…you’re a person, created by God? I love you!” was his mission statement. He loved without expectation or demand. I guess that’s what made him so happy when others loved him back…he never expected it or demanded it so it was that much more of a gift. If there was anyone on this planet who loved me unconditionally, other than maybe my grandmother, it was Ben. He never failed to quickly turn a conversation toward Jesus. I think he got that from spending so much time around his big brother.
Ya’ll loved him well. Ben’s life was happy and full. Having him here where the students could “adopt” him and love him as they did packed so much joy into his days. He loved you all so very much. David…he bragged about you all the time. I’m sure there were hard days, and days when the responsibility felt large and even overwhelming. But you did your best and filled his life with joy.
I love you guys. I hope you know how thankful I am for you all, and for letting me be a little part of Ben’s world. Watching him at his birthday party was something I’ll treasure. Coach Freeze throwing himself wholeheartedly into hamming it up with ben was a lifetime memory, I am praying for you all. I hope there is comfort in these days.

Benjamin Nasser, you were a precious soul! While I often had the privilege of leading worship on stage, you led me in worship as you sat on the second row at Thomas Road each Sunday, and as you sat through convos and campus communities! Your soul is at rest, and I rejoice that you are with Jesus!

Our heartfelt condolences to the Nasser Family. We came to love Benjamin through social media and were truly inspired by his kind spirit and devotion to his savior Jesus and the LU. I cannot tell you all how many times Benji led me personally in worship. He was such an example of a lover of Jesus and I know that He is just so happy to finally see Jesus face to face at this moment. Much love to the whole family. You are in our prayers and thoughts.

Benjamin was a joy to be around and Jesus shined through him. He knew Jesus intimately, talked about Jesus, praised Jesus, and lived out Jesus’ principles every day. Every time I think of Benjamin, I am reminded that God has called us to be joyful in the Lord regardless of life’s circumstances. Cheryl and I are praying for each person in the Nasser family. I never met Ben and know very little about him, but one time when I was watching convocation, Ben was asked to pray. It was the most heartfelt prayer I’ve ever heard in my life and I’ll never forget it. I didn’t even know who he was at the time, but it made a huge impression on me. Always pray from the heart and pray like God is the only one who is hearing you. Praying for the Nasser family daily.

Even though I’m just a freshman at Liberty University, seeing Benjamin on stage with so much life and character in the past two semesters and then seeing him praise the Lord even in the toughest of times has had such an incredible impact on my life, and the way I want to live it. I’m so incredibly grateful to Benji for the example he’s set to so many people, perhaps without even knowing it. Know that we’re praying for you and mourning with you.

I met Ben in a Starbucks in Lynchburg while I was working on homework, stressed about finishing a research paper. He came and sat with me at my table after realizing I was a Liberty Student, where I instantly recognized him as being my Campus Pastor’s brother. He began to talk with me about my career choice of being a Special Education Teacher. After telling him about my love for individuals who have special needs, he said something that I still to this day will never forget.
He said to me that God had given him the gift of Down Syndrome and that he was a special messenger to the world about Christ and His love for us, and how thankful he was to have Down Syndrome because he knew that God had such a large purpose for his life in that way.

It brought me to tears in that one-and-only time that I had the privilege to speak with Ben. His words are something that I will never forget and I think about often as I work every day with students with Down Syndrome and other special needs. The light of the Lord in Ben was absolutely undeniable. What an inspiration to me and so many others.

Dear Nasser Family,

I only encountered Benji a few times, but wow what an impact he made on those around him. He was full of fun, love and was a sheer joy to be around. His love for Jesus radiated to everyone he came in contact with. My heartfelt prayers go to you for comfort and peace. Spectrum 139, the name of Ben’s Sunday morning life group, was birthed through our wonderful conversations. Many days he sat at the long table by Kids Cove with his laptop plugged in, his Bible open and paper & pen ready for notes. Our conversation usually began with a hug and ended with ‘I love you Miss Toy’ which often brought tears to my eyes. But in between these two events, Ben talked about his love for his Savior and the deep pain Jesus suffered because of His love for us. During this time, he also brought up that his life group should be named ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’. This comes from one of his favorite chapters in the Bible, Psalm 139. So after much discussion, Spectrum 139 was birthed. Ben now worships at His Savior’s feet enjoying his reward of a life well lived. While walking through Main Street, I will always look at his ‘corner table’ at Kids Cove and thank God we had the privilege of being friends.
